We are thrilled to announce that Premier League Footballer, Tosin Adarabioyo, is joining the Lia’s Wings Family as an Ambassador!
Tosin currently stars as defender for Premier League side Chelsea , having previously spent four years at their West London neighbours, Fulham Football Club. Tosin first connected with Lia’s Wings in a deeply meaningful way. After meeting Lia’s parents and brother following a Fulham match—just weeks after Lia’s passing—he went out of his way to express his sympathy and take an active interest in the family’s well-being.
Patrick, Lia’s dad, shares:
“A week or so later, John was graciously offered to serve as Fulham Football Club's mascot at their away game in Leeds. To our surprise, Tosin—who played for Fulham FC at the time— not only remembered John but had in the meantime heard about Lia's passing and went out of his way to express his sympathy. Since then, he has taken an active interest not only in our family's wellbeing but also in the work the charity is doing in Lia's memory. Both Tosin and I are convinced that our paths in life crossed for a reason. We later figured out that his birthday is September 24th—the day Lia left us.”
As well as showing an active interest in the family’s well-being, Tosin has also been interested and keen to support Lia’s Wings and has done a huge amount behind the scenes to further our cause. Recently, our events calendar and Chelsea’s training schedule finally aligned to allow Tosin to attend an event as our ambassador, and we were thrilled to have him there. Tosin is hugely passionate about our cause, and now, as an ambassador, Tosin wants to do even more to help raise awareness to ensure that every child who needs our assistance can receive it.
Thank you, Tosin, for your heartfelt support and encouragement. We’re so excited to have you on board to help us make an even greater impact! 🌟💜
